Extra Virgin Olive Oil Selezione Cutrera – FRANTOI CUTRERA


Selezione Cutrera is an extra virgin olive oil, cold extract, with a bitter spicy but very balanced.

Made in South-East Sicily at an altitude of 150 to 400 meters above sea level. The olive grows in hilly and flat territory close to the Mediterranean of varieties Moresca, Biancolilla, Nocellara, Cerasuola and Tonda Iblea. The olives are harvested manually and mechanically between the beginning of November until the end of the production. Oil extracted with continuous cycle to two cold stages. Green, veiled for natural decantation, full-bodied perfume with a pronounced note of artichoke and flavor with a very balanced spicy bitterness, with notes of artichokes and oregano.

USAGE TIP:  Marinated fish, mushrooms, salads, soups and delicate grilled red meat, good for cooking every recipe of Mediterranean cuisine.

For generations, the Cutrera family has been dedicated to the cultivation of olive trees and olive oil production, a profession carried on for decades with the passion and the love that binds this family to its land. The company’s origins date back more than a century ago, records show that in 1906, the family Cutrera was dedicated to the cultivation and care of olive trees in Chiaramonte Gulfi, a small town in the south-eastern area of Sicily.
